World Nature Conservation Day Observed with Great Enthusiasm at Bargarh Town
Bargarh, 28 July 2026: On the occasion of World Nature Conservation Day, St. Peter English Medium School, Barikhajuri, Garhwa, Jharkhand, organised a meaningful and inspiring environmental awareness programme in Bargarh town under the guidance of the Principal, teachers, and school management.
The programme began with a grand awareness rally in which a large number of students and teachers participated carrying placards and banners with messages such as “Save Nature, Save Life”, “Plant Trees, Protect Future”, and “Reduce Plastic, Preserve Earth.” The rally passed through the main streets of Bargarh town and attracted the attention of the local people.
A street play (nukkad natak) was presented by the students highlighting the harmful effects of deforestation, pollution, and excessive use of plastic, and emphasizing the importance of protecting forests, water, and wildlife. The performance was highly appreciated by the public.
The programme was further enriched by speeches delivered by dignitaries, teachers, and students. They stressed that nature is God’s precious gift and every citizen has a moral responsibility to conserve it for future generations. They also encouraged people to adopt eco-friendly habits and participate actively in environmental protection.
As a symbol of commitment to a greener future, the school organised a plant distribution programme, during which saplings were distributed among the public, students, and local residents. The participants were encouraged to plant and care for the saplings in their homes and surroundings.
Speaking on the occasion, Principal Prem Kevin thanked the town administration, teachers, students, and residents of Bargarh for their enthusiastic participation and support. He said that such programmes help create awareness and inspire collective action towards building a cleaner, greener, and healthier society.
The programme concluded with a pledge by all participants to protect nature, avoid environmental pollution, and contribute towards a sustainable future.
